Kalna, popularly known as Ambika Kalna is a town in the Bardhaman District. It is situated on the western bank of the Bhāgirathi. The town is named after the very popular Deity of Goddess Kali, Maa Ambika. It has numerous historical monuments such as the Rajbari (the palace) and Kalna Temples.  The Kalna Temples are built of bricks with intricate terracotta designs. Unique among the temples are the ornate Palki Krishna Chanraji Temple and the Pratapeswar Temple, a 108-temple complex dedicated to Lord Shiva. more
